On Friday 5th June, on a hot afternoon, the Hong Kong’s shipping community was once again feeling the football fever. This was the 4th edition of the popular Pacific Basin Soccer 6s, The 160 players that took part came from companies such as Pacific Basin, Bernhard Schulte, Anglo Eastern, Noble, Caravel/Fleet and more and the defending champions Pacific Basin had plenty of competition for the title. The cheerleaders and spectators were in great spirits and the HUD cheerleaders treated everyone to a half time routine worthy of the best cheerleader prize they later won! In a tense final, Pacific Basin’s "PB Dragons" managed to defeat the HUD Steelers 3 v 0 and retain for the 2nd year their cup title. In the plate final we had a surprise new winner with Spartak P&I team clinching the title from Ince & Co 1870 in a tense match!
